ABOUT US
In 1999 Bonlec Wind and Solar were developing and distributing solar pumping systems that eliminated the need for diesel engines to be used for powering line and shaft pumps to draw water from the ground to provide life maintaining water for stock and communities in remote areas. The team over time recognised a need for their remote clientele to be able to monitor the levels of the water storage systems without travelling huge distances to and from the bores and well’s they were utilising. Research, manufacturing and onsite testing followed. Over the next 5 years, the result was a product that won Stephen Winter – Electrician and head of the research and development team of Bonlec Wind and Solar the inventor of the year award at the North Queensland Field days.
In 2009 Bonlec Wind and Solar further showcased their dedication to the development of agricultural technology by changing to the name BONTECH.
In 2010, Bontech announced the commercial release of the AGMON systems, trademarking the name. In 2019, after 20 years of extensive trials & input from development & agricultural users, BonTech was proud to announce the release of the AGMON 2.0 - A sleeker design with a new range of sensor functions and applications.

Martin Boniface
Martin Boniface is a fully qualified electrical contractor, and started his own business (Boniface Services) in 1985. Boniface services began by targeting the commercial sector as a maintainer and repairer of industrial equipment – such as the machinery in commercial bakeries and air conditioning units in shopping centres. They were the days before computer managed control systems, equipment was handled by analogue electrical controls and as designing control systems was his area of interest that was the direction he wanted the business to go. Bonlec Pty Ltd evolved from this growth. He opened a Branch in Cairns in 1994, and Mackay in 2000. With the advent of computers and microprocessors everything has changed, and there is no limit to the number of pieces of equipment that can be monitored and controlled from a single point, resulting in his second company, Bontech Pty Ltd. Bontech now handles both the solar pumping systems and remote area power systems, and also has a branch at Hughenden. Bonlec now has a staff of 45 and BonTech, its R&D arm, employs another 4 with 3 patented designs. AGMON is one of these.

According to Lance, Martin was so impressed with Lance’s ‘footy skills’ he offered him the position as lead electrician technician for AGMON and Bontech solar pumping.
Proudly Australian owned, designed and manufactured.
TESTIMONIAL
"I have been using 4G AGMONS for 2 plus years not one has failed yet. Only if phone service is down. However new satellite AGMON has been without fail throughout the trial period. It appealed to me because of ease of installation and simplicity.
Their performance have been on par with other more expensive systems on the market at a fraction of the price. The most valuable thing about AGMON in my business is cutting down travel cost. Assurance when away from the properties. We will definitely be using the sat model into the future now they can be mounted anywhere."
